We are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our credit control function at our headquarters in Rochdale. You will partner closely with sales teams to optimise credit management processes and enhance cash flow while supporting the growth of the business. The Credit Control Manager Overview: Lead the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring timely collections and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Monitor aged debt reports, proactively identifying and resolving overdue accounts. Establish, review, and enforce credit limits and terms in line with company policies. Oversee the escalation of credit-related issues and negotiate resolutions where necessary. Evaluate current systems and processes, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows. Drive the implementation of system enhancements and new tools to support efficient credit control operations. Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of credit systems with other business functions. Work closely with sales teams to align credit strategies with commercial objectives. Provide insights and guidance to sales teams on customer creditworthiness and risk mitigation. Deliver guidance and support to non-financial stakeholders to enhance their understanding of credit-related processes. Manage and develop the credit control team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. Monitor team performance, providing coaching and support to meet targets and improve overall effectiveness. Your Experience as a Credit Control Manager: Proven experience in credit control, with a minimum of 2 years managerial experience. Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, collections processes, and financial controls. Systems-savvy with a track record of implementing and improving credit control systems. Ability to lead change initiatives, including process reengineering and technology implementation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team Why Join?
