Tech Compliance Specialist (CeMAP Qualified)
About the Role
We're seeking a skilled and analytical individual to join our compliance team as a Technical Compliance Specialist. This role focuses on delivering high-quality compliance oversight through reporting, thematic reviews and trend analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting and Compliance Oversight:
* Prepare and deliver detailed compliance reports to senior management, ensuring insights are actionable and aligned with regulatory requirements.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance metrics, identifying areas of risk and improvement.
2. Thematic Reviews:
* Conduct in-depth thematic reviews on high-risk areas or emerging compliance issues.
* Analyse findings and make recommendations to improve compliance processes, mitigate risks and support good customer outcomes.
3. Investigations / Trend Analysis:
* Review and assess risk referrals from internal teams, providing guidance on appropriate actions.
* Analyse trends in compliance risks, reporting patterns to identify systemic issues or opportunities for process enhancements.
* Perform detailed reviews and investigations where risks are identified
* Address discrepancies and collaborate with providers to resolve compliance concerns.
* Provide detailed reports on outcomes and recommendations for future improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Mandatory: CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualification. In addition CeRER (certificate in Regulated Equity Release) preferable
* Proven experience in compliance roles within financial services, with a strong understanding of FCA regulations.
* Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data effectively.
* Proficiency in conducting investigations, thematic reviews, and compliance reporting.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in risk assessment and trend analysis within financial services.
* Familiarity with lender and provider operations, including MI frameworks.
* A methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
