Position
Position: Finance Officer - Rents
Salary: £35,545 - £37,265 depending on experience
Responsibilities
1. Post rent receipts for all Local Space’s rent roll (including DWP, Housing Benefit and customer receipts), totalling circa £40m p.a., promptly and diligently ensuring that they are reflected accurately in the individual customer accounts and control accounts within the finance systems.
2. Ensure any queries relating to any rent receipts posted to the suspense account are identified and resolved promptly.
3. Prepare the monthly prepayment schedule on service charges and accruals, carry out bank reconciliations on the Rent and current accounts, investigating any difference in balances.
4. Ensure that Local Space’s financial controls are observed at all times; support customers with training and guidance as needed.
5. Assist with the maintenance and accuracy of Local Space’s financial ledgers – particularly the rent accounts, fixed asset register and control accounts which sit with this role.
