Public Health Officer - Communities Permanent Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week We are looking for a Public Health Officer in the Communities Team to carry out work in relation to our Community Health Profiles. The Communities Team has developed a set of Community Health Profiles which have highlighted the health inequalities faced by these communities. The role will immediately involve supporting the Service Lead and Senior Officer in the Communities Team with the implementation phase of our Deep Engagement Partner Programme), working with key stakeholders. This role will include increasing the awareness of health disparities to help public health professionals, commissioners and local decision-makers engage in action to reduce ethnic inequalities. Furthermore, this role will offer insights on patterns and determinants of health for different community groups identifying some general approaches that can help professionals and decision makers to embed our approach within their work, engaging with different community groups and empowering them to address health concerns within their community.
