About the Opportunity:
NRL is working with a reputable and established organization that is in search of a EC&I Commissioning Technician to join their workforce. This is a key role on a high-impact project, where your contributions will directly influence the success of the commissioning process. As a Commissioning Technician, you will prioritise safety, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and play a crucial role in ensuring that all commissioning activities are executed to the highest standards. What You’ll Be Doing:
Champion Safety: Lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety protocols, with Zero Harm as the goal.
Commissioning Activities: Take ownership of testing activities across all stages of commissioning, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks. Contribute to the creation of test documentation, and assist in implementing FOBs and TQs.
Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team, participating in design reviews and supporting the testing process for third-party witnesses.
Data Management: Ensure accurate recording and reporting of data in line with test requirements, utilizing completions management systems to track progress and manage activities.
Temporary Commissioning Aids: Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids as needed, ensuring proper management throughout the project.
What You’ll Need:
Experience: Time-served or equivalent in an engineering discipline eg; electrical, control or instrumentation. Project commissioning experience is essential.
Qualifications: Preference for an ONC or equivalent, or a path toward obtaining the qualification. IOSH Working Safely or equivalent required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using design tools like Go Completions and Microsoft Suite, with the ability to manage and track commissioning activities effectively.
Clearance: BPSS clearance or the willingess to obtain.
