Science TeacherJob Location: Hemel HempsteadJob Type: Full-timeWe are looking for a Science Teacher to start after May Half Term at a Secondary School based in Hemel Hempstead on a full time basis. This opportunity has the aboility to go permanent. The Science Department consists of nine full time teachers who are supported by two full time technicians and additional administrative support. The department is very well resourced. There are ten laboratories with good provision of multimedia facilities in each room and ICT is well embedded within all the schemes of work.Science is a busy and successful curriculum area. A Level science subjects are popular in the sixth form, with many students progressing to science, engineering and medical-based degree courses at universities including Oxbridge.At Key Stage 4, all students follow either the combined GCSE science route or the separate sciences. GCSE results are consistently good. In recent years, students have averaged 2 higher pass rates of 80%.We welcome candidates of all faiths and none, though support for our Catholic ethos is expected.Key Responsibilities:-Develop and deliver engaging lessons in [Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Integrated Science] for students of various grade levels (middle school through high school).-Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to learn.Plan, implement, and assess individualized instruction, ensuring each student's learning needs are met.Conduct experiments, demonstrations, and practical lessons to enhance students' hands-on understanding of scientific concepts.Regularly assess and evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback.Collaborate with other teaching staff and administration to develop curriculum, share best practices, and create interdisciplinary projects.Engage students in extracurricular science-related activities such as science fairs, clubs, and field trips.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current scientific advancements and trends, integrating them into the classroom.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Teaching certification or credential (specific to your location and educational system).Proven experience teaching science in a classroom setting, preferably at the [middle school/high school] level.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Passion for inspiring students and cultivating a love for science.Ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
