Position: Sports Coach

Contract: Full-time, temporary.

Role Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team at a secondary SEN school in Wigston. The successful candidate will support students aged 11-16 with autism, ADHD, and minor behavioural difficulties. This role involves working with smaller intervention groups of up to 6 students, promoting physical activity and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging sports and physical education sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
* Support and manage small intervention groups, ensuring each student is included and engaged.
* Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of students with autism and ADHD.
* Encourage positive behaviour and teamwork through sports and physical activities.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
* Collaborate with other staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
* Promote a safe and supportive environment for all students.
* Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly autism and ADHD.
* Strong understanding of sports coaching techniques and strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.
* Experience in behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
Working Hours:
* 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday.
Salary:
* £90 per day, equivalent to £17,550 per annum (actual salary)
