Overview
Join a new team responsible for taking the dental industry's market-leading SaaS product to the next level! The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, critical thinker with excellent communication skills. We're seeking someone who can take high-level direction, gain consensus, and drive tasks to completion.
The ideal candidate for this team doesn’t shy away from learning something new or experimenting with technologies to find the right solution. A friendly, hard-working, positive, and pragmatic person with a true passion for solving problems with technology will fit in well with our dynamic team.
This role is hybrid working 1-2x per week out of our Glasgow office.
Responsibilities & Duties
1. Advocate for quality throughout the software development process.
2. Design, implement and maintain the automated testing framework for SaaS products.
3. Mentor and train other team members on automation, quality practices and principles.
4. Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, effort estimates, task breakdowns, and other team discussions.
5. Assess and raise risks across the Planet DDS solution.
6. Work with the engineering team on continuously improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of Planet DDS products.
7. Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to design and deploy new features.
8. Learn about the latest tools and patterns consistent with your role.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. 5+ or more years of experience in a software engineering development, test, and/or QA role.
2. Experience in automation testing and building automation frameworks from the ground up.
3. Experience in programming (ideally JavaScript/TypeScript and/or C#).
4. Experience with test case management techniques, technologies, and approaches.
5. Tools Jira & Zephyr Scale would be beneficial.
6. Knowledge of how to characterize different risk scenarios (Examples: functional/closed-box, boundary, verification and validation, acceptance, load, stress, performance, HA/DR).
7. Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
8. Strong collaboration and communication skills.
9. Ability to engage throughout the department and the company to achieve goals.
