What will I be doing? You’ll be part of a team who provides food & beverage service across the whole restaurant, bar and conference areas. In your role you’ll be tasked with looking after the guests from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave and managing the team. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Restaurant Manager in the running of the restaurant / food outlets and the management of the Food and Beverage operation within the hotel and responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience within the restaurant. Lead and motivate team members through effective communication, training and development. Assisting with and ensuring all HR procedures are followed. Management of the Food and Beverage annual budget, agreeing and implementing the appropriate mechanisms to effectively manage costs and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the Food and Beverage offerings. Promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all team members are treated with respect and dignity. Ensure the interior, fixtures and equipment of each food and beverage outlet are properly maintained and presented, both inside and out, with the highest standards of cleanliness and housekeeping. Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to promote and market the business; network with existing clients and develop strong relationships to enhance revenue opportunity within the Food and Beverage outlets. Ensure quality standards and procedures are fully implemented and regularly reviewed throughout the food and beverage outlets, ensuring feedback is used to ensure continual improvement. Maintain effective communication to ensure plans, challenges and successes are understood, and individual performance is aligned to exceptional standards. Create and promote opportunities to develop and enhance effective working relationships within the Food and Beverage team and all stakeholders. Maintain and strengthen the hotel commitment to having a well presented, well trained and efficient workforce that reflects and affirms the diversity of the community. Liaise with and utilise the support of suppliers and other external stakeholders as appropriate. Ensure an effective and safe working environment is maintained in compliance with appropriate legislation, such as Licensing Laws, Health & Safety, and other statutory requirements. Reporting into the Restaurant Manager. Participate in the effective promotion of F and B outlets Any other duties requested by management which are reasonable and within your skill set. What are we looking for? The ideal candidate will have: Prior experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, ideally gained in a hotel environment or similar. A customer service focussed mindset and obsession with delivering high quality service. Self-motivation and a proactive approach. Strong organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
