INTERNAL APPLICANTS MUST APPLY VIA MYSELF NLC9 - £35,476 - £41,028 per year Based within Bellshill Fleet Operations Depot, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the delivery of an effective and efficient mechanical repair service to our customers and clients. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs, inspection and maintenance of a mixed fleet of Local Authority vehicles powered by both traditional and alternative fuels. Using time-served experience, knowledge and skills, you will be able to plan your own workload and prioritise tasks in an ever-changing environment whilst complying with, and being aware of, all health and safety guidelines and requirements. You will be computer-literate and able to interact with the Fleet Management and Vehicle Diagnostics systems, whilst being able to prepare and complete paperwork accurately and follow a planned programme of work. You will have experience of working with electric or hydrogen vehicles. To be successful in this role, you will be educated to SCQF level 7 in Mechanics and IMI Level 3 Award in Heavy Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement whilst also possessing a Driver's Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC). You will be a good communicator with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. You will have a positive and enthusiastic approach to work and be able to establish effective working relationships with customers, contractors and employees.
