An exciting opportunity has arisen within Clinical Haematology for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Nurse to work across the Trust as a Thrombosis and Anticoagulation Nurse Specialist.
The post holder will play a key role in providing high quality care and education to ensure the safety of patients on anticoagulant therapies in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The appointed individual will act as a resource and advocate in the specialty providing clinical support and assistance.

We are seeking to appoint a Nurse Specialist with significant post registration experience who has completed study at degree level. Has knowledge of all aspects of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and anticoagulation and is conversant with new developments and emerging therapies in the field.
Accurate record keeping will be required and good IT skills and time management are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial as the role involves liaison with the multi-disciplinary teams across the trust and externally in primary care.
As this is a senior role, the post holder would also be expected to play an integral role in future service developments and improvements to maintain the profile of VTE prevention throughout the trust. You would be expected to contribute to the leadership of the team and be extremely self motivated.
