Were looking for a very rounded Lead DevOps Engineer to join an EdTech scale-up in East Wiltshire. Would you excel at running a small DevOps team within an established broader tech team? Background: Already thinking strategically around CI/CD leadership. Cloud architecture & infrastructure ownership. Database management & scaling. Advanced monitoring & incident response strategy. What youll be doing: Were really looking for an expert ability to understand and communicate complex software systems, verbally, textually, and diagrammatically. As well as the ability to ensure it's communicated appropriately. Youll be taking a key role in the ownership of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD strategy, database and storage management, security and compliance governance and strategic collaboration alongside supporting engineering teams, helping them stay connected to all things infrastructure. Also, youll manage a small team of DevOps engineers, provide regular and timely feedback to reports and other members of the department, provide coaching, mentoring and training of engineers throughout the department and of course, participate in recruitment of engineering roles of all types as required as the company grows.
