Administration Recovery Officer £23,700 (Hybrid after passed probation) INDCB Location: Redditch B98 Hours: Shift Patterns The Administration Recovery Officer is responsible for supporting the recovery of outstanding debts and ensuring the efficient administration of recovery processes. This role involves liaising with clients and debtors, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with organisational and legal standards. Key Responsibilities Debt Recovery Administration Manage a portfolio of overdue accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing of recovery actions. Prepare and issue correspondence such as payment reminders, demand letters, and notices of legal action. Monitor payments and follow up on defaulted agreements.Customer Communication Liaise with debtors via phone, email, and written communication to negotiate repayment plans. Provide clear and empathetic guidance to debtors while maintaining professionalism. Handle enquiries and disputes, escalating complex cases to the appropriate team or manager.Reporting and Documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recovery activities in the company's database or case management system. Generate regular reports on recovery progress and performance metrics. Ensure all paperwork and digital records comply with data protection and confidentiality laws.Compliance and Legal Adherence Operate within the framework of local and national debt recovery regulations. Ensure all recovery processes align with organisational policies and industry best practices. Support legal recovery processes by preparing case documentation for court proceedings, if necessary.Collaboration and Team Support Work closely with other departments, including finance, legal, and customer service, to resolve cases efficiently. Participate in team meetings and training to share insights and improve processes. Provide administrative support to senior recovery officers or managers. Qualifications and Skills Education and Experience GCSEs or equivalent (required); additional qualifications in administration, business, or finance (preferred). Previous experience in debt recovery, administration, or customer service (preferred). Knowledge of debt recovery procedures and regulations (advantageous).Skills and Competencies Strong organisational and administrative skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems. High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
