HR Officer
Salary: £30,000- £35,000
Full time permanent position, 40 hours per week, working 9:00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

All staff are professionally qualified or working towards a qualification in therapeutic skills to enable them to tend to the children and young people’s practical, physical, and emotional needs.
This is an opportunity to join our fantastic HR team, supporting over 300 employees alongside the HR Director, HR Advisor, Recruiter and Training Officer. The role is a generalist HR role where you will be involved with all aspects of HR from recruitment to onboarding, and employee relations cases.
As a successful applicant you will have:
* Rounded HR generalist knowledge.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
* A thorough understanding of employment law and applying this into practice.
* Experience of dealing with several ER cases simultaneously.
* Strong resilience and working successfully as a team member.
* Experience of working within a social care or health organisation is desirable.
Role of the HR Officer

* To take part in and lead on HR projects.
* To embed a fantastic company culture through your work with the registered and regional managers, holding weekly meetings to understand the people needs.
* To ensure that safer recruitment practices are at the forefront of any onboarding that is completed. To ensure that we are a safe choice, and no one starts in a home without a full file sign off.
* To ensure employment law compliance and robust reports completed in a timely manner for all employee relations cases in your hubs.
* To effectively manage child protection safeguarding cases and ensure swift action is taken to reduce suspension periods.
* To ensure adequate staffing levels of no more than 90% are employed across the care homes.
* To achieve mandatory training levels including therapeutic clinical training of 95%.
* To oversee the employment resources required to work in the homes in your hubs.
* To ensure there is a targeted recruitment campaign across all channels and show a proactive, pre-emptive approach to recruitment.
* To partner with and work alongside the home manager and regional managers in your hubs to successfully influence and coach to ensure that all the above objectives are on track.
* To play an active part in progressing the HR department by sharing ideas about better, more efficient ways of working.
