Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for the next step in your career? Cantium Business Solutions, part of the Commercial Services Group (CSG), is now seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll take ownership of medium to large-scale projects, ensuring successful completion within budget, timescales, and resource constraints, while managing stakeholder expectations and delivering value to the business.
What You’ll Achieve:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
* Lead and manage the delivery of medium to large-scale projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring they meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
* Take responsibility for project budgets, timelines, resources, and ensuring quality standards, change control, and risk management processes are adhered to.
* Ensure alignment between project deliverables and business objectives, while collaborating with senior management and stakeholders.
* Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, taking action when performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
* Monitor and report on project progress, initiating corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on track.
* Manage client relationships, providing expert advice and ensuring value-for-money in service delivery.
* Ensure all projects are formally closed and lessons learned are captured and actioned for continuous improvement.
What We Require:
Essential:
* PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is required.
* Proven experience in delivering technology and business transformation projects.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, change control, and financial constraints effectively.
* Experience working in a structured project delivery environment, ensuring adherence to defined processes and frameworks.
* Commercial awareness, including experience managing project budgets exceeding £500k.
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to ensure projects are formally closed and lessons learned are captured for continuous improvement.
Desirable:
* APM Project Management Qualification (APM PMQ) or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) certification.
* Experience using ServiceNow PPM (or equivalent) for project tracking and governance.
* Experience working within local government, education, or public sector service delivery environments.
Skills:
* Strong senior stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage resources, risks, and budgets effectively, ensuring projects stay on track.
* Commercially astute and able to negotiate on technical and commercial issues.
* Proven ability to manage and improve processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
