The Role
As Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and success of the organisation. Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting - Overseeing and managing financial reporting, including weekly, monthly internal reporting and annual financial statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting - Collaborating with various departments to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Financial Analysis - Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
Compliance - Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Ongoing review and development of systems to improve accuracy & quality of financial information.
Study Support - The company offers study support to further your professional development.
Deputising for the Finance Director
Qualifications
PQ studying towards professional accounting qualification (ACCA,CIMA, or equivalent.
Proven experience working within fast pace finance team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools. Xero accountancy software experience preferred.
The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
