Job summary We are looking for an existing or aspiring Ward Leader to lead Zennor. You will lead a multi disciplinary team to deliver a frailty pathway, to support the ward's inpatients, whilst taking overall clinical responsibility for the Ward. You will be supported by a Clinical Matron linked directly to the Ward. This role requires you to be flexible, resilient and forward thinking. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant positive impact to flow in frailty pathways and expediting safe discharge, particularly for patients where a protracted length of hospital stay would not be in their best interests. Main duties of the job To be the accountable lead nurse/midwife/AHP in their clinical area who provides effective, professional nursing/midwifery/AHP leadership and direction for the nursing/midwifery/AHP workforce and wider ward / department team. Thorough ownership of their clinical area to be accountable for implementing, driving and monitoring the Quality and Safety agenda and to monitor standards across clinical areas in leadership exchange/partnership initiatives.
