What the role involves
1. Preparing Trustee Reports and Financial Documents for your pension scheme clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance with FRS102 and SORP, and timely delivery. Regular liaison with internal specialist teams, client relationship managers, and external auditors is expected.
2. Participating in meetings with partners to drive progress, resolve issues, and deliver pragmatic solutions that benefit clients. Collaborating with UK and offshore accounts teams to prepare and review financial documents and oversee audits, responding promptly to inquiries.
3. Managing a diverse portfolio of pension clients, from small wind-up schemes to large, sophisticated hybrid schemes, leveraging your expertise to provide excellent service.
4. Building and maintaining strong relationships across Aon’s various locations and with third-party providers to enhance reputation and service quality.

Skills and experience for success
* Qualified Accountant with experience in statutory accounts production, preferably in pensions, capable of producing compliant accounts meeting regulatory and SORP standards.
* Team player with strong relationship-building skills with clients, auditors, and investment managers, maintaining Aon’s reputation in pensions administration.
* Aiming to become a subject matter expert in pension scheme accounts, developing high-level technical knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to process improvements and client service.
* Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality, supporting wider business objectives.
