About the role
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you’ll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, supporting service users through their recovery with person-centred care and clinical excellence
Key Responsibilities:
4. Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients
5. Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences
6. Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress
7. Promoting and adhering to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles)
8. Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes
9. Ensuring accessible, accurate communication with service users and families regarding care
10. Taking charge of the ward where appropriate, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
11. Maintaining high standards in clinical documentation and communication within the team
12. Working effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
About You
13. Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC PIN
14. Minimum 6 months post-registration experience in a mental health setting
15. Confident communicator with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
16. Flexible, innovative, and motivated by quality improvement
17. IT literate and adept at using electronic care systems
18. Knowledge of NMC standards and commitment to best practice
