We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Harrogate. This full-time role starts ASAP and offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in student's lives.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.
* Experience working with students with SEMH, primary, or EYFS backgrounds is advantageous.
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Team Teach certification (preferred).
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
* Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Work one-to-one or in small groups to help students access the curriculum effectively.
* Support students with behaviour management strategies, promoting positive outcomes.
* Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to develop and implement individual support plans.
