Reporting to the People Service Centre Manager, you will be working in a team of 9 People Specialists. The team are expert advisors on both staff and volunteer management issues. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office with the whole team at least once a month. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.You’ll be motivated by ensuring that a professional, proactive and customer-focussed HR advisory service is delivered. Ensuring a fair and consistent approach to all people policies and ways of working, in line with organisational and legal requirements, mitigating reputational and financial risk. You’ll guide managers through employee relations cases in real time, intervening and steering in the appropriate direction taking account of organisational policies, employment law, best practice and precedent. You’ll develop and build trusted partnerships with managers, providing constructive challenges as well as acting as a sounding board and advisor.
