Learning Support Practitioner
We are seeking a dedicated, creative, and organised Learning Support Practitioner to support prisoners in their educational journey.
In this role, you will work closely with tutors and instructors, delivering tailored educational support to learners, particularly those with neurodiverse needs and literacy challenges.
Purpose of the Role:
* Help learners overcome literacy barriers, build reading skills, and work towards personal and employment goals.
* Champion diversity and promote a culture of positive change within the prison community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and adapt individualised support plans for learners with literacy and neurodiverse needs.
* Provide structured reading and literacy interventions to help learners improve their skills.
* Work closely with tutors and trainers to integrate tailored support across educational programmes.
* Champion an inclusive, diverse learning environment that supports all learners.
The ideal candidate will have:
* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English at Grade C.
* NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
* Background in learning support and development, with strong knowledge of neurodiverse conditions and strategies to support learners.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
