0.6 Lecturer in Catering and Hospitality 21.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year permanent £33,550 – £40,073 per annum pro rata We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual to join our team as Hospitality & Catering, Lecturer/Course Leader for the schools supported learning entry provision. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in course leading and teaching students’ hospitality, catering and a range of life skills to students with a range of learning needs. Responsibilities: Lead courses within the Hospitality & Catering curriculum, ensuring the delivery of outstanding classes that is highly inclusive and supportive. Plan and execute engaging and informative lessons, incorporating practical sessions alongside relevant theoretical knowledge. Support and develop a range of catering professional and technical skills of each student, foster their interest strong progression opportunities for learning and the catering sector. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum, staying updated with industry trends and best practices. Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment, catering to the diverse needs of our students. Requirements: Extensive experience in the field of hospitality and catering, with up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and techniques. Vocational qualification in cookery, minimum Level 3. You will have experience in teaching in a supportive learning environment and a fully developed understanding of an inclusive learning environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students. You will be patient, kind and considerate. Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays, accommodating the schedules of our learners. Passion for education and a commitment to empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
