This role requires a strong understanding of wiring and installation, paired with practical hands-on ability in these areas. You will be experienced in system commissioning and confident in managing multiple small projects simultaneously. What you will do: Deliver high-quality engineering solutions in line with Electrosonic defined standards, ensuring systems meet client requirements and industry best practices. Design electronic, mechanical, and optical systems tailored to client needs, incorporating proven technologies and exploring innovative solutions. Build and test system components to validate designs, including working with advanced and emerging technologies. Produce accurate technical information and engineering documentation for internal use, clients, and contractors. Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting and problem resolution, responding swiftly to on-site and off-site issues, often at short notice. Research and test innovative technologies to proactively address client challenges. Configure and commission systems on-site, ensuring they operate to specification and client satisfaction. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within budget, on time, and to the client's satisfaction. Oversee the integration of audio-visual systems, handling both hardware and software interfaces to meet project requirements. Serve as a technical liaison with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on technical requirements. Support Sales with engineering estimations, including design specifications and resource requirements. Provide coaching and training to colleagues and clients, enhancing technical competency across the organisation. Represent the company with professionalism, maintaining high standards of conduct and presentation. Act as an ambassador for the company with clients and potential clients, fostering strong relationships and upholding the company's reputation. What you will bring to the role: A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, or proven experience in the audio-visual or related industry. Industry certifications such as CTS or equivalent qualifications are advantageous. Proficient in using AutoCAD to produce schematics and elevation drawings. Advanced technical expertise in electronics and audio-visual systems, with a strong understanding of network control, communications, and network structures. A solid foundation in planning and organising multiple projects, optimising workload to achieve maximum efficiency. Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work, reflecting the company's commitment to quality and excellence. Enthusiasm, dedication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential qualities for this role. Capable of maintaining the highest quality standards, with exceptional attention to detail and the determination to resolve issues thoroughly. Willing to collaborate effectively as part of a team, supporting and mentoring fellow engineers to achieve shared goals. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders, from company executives to building contractors. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to approach diverse tasks effectively throughout the working day. This role requires a full driving licence.
