Site Agent/Manager - Leeds
We are a leading civil engineering and infrastructure specialist with over 40 years of experience delivering design, construction, and maintenance services across multiple sectors, including: Operating as a Tier 1 partner for major clients, we work on large-scale frameworks, joint ventures, and standalone projects, building long-term relationships based on trust, quality, and innovation. As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, and Surveyors, overseeing the technical, commercial, and operational aspects of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of civil engineering and water infrastructure projects.
- Ensure high-quality work is delivered defect-free and meets all client requirements.
- Manage and coordinate Sub Agents, Engineers, and Site Teams to achieve project goals.
- Oversee the production of Project Plans, Risk Assessments (RAMS), ITPs, and Waste Management Plans.
- Ensure procurement schedules align with project requirements.
- Produce and maintain construction programmes and 2-week lookaheads.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a representative of the business, engaging with clients, the public, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality results.
- Manage project costs, budgets, and value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain detailed site diaries and financial records.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, contract conditions, and health & safety legislation.
- Produce accurate monthly reports for both internal and client review.
- Lead weekly site meetings to track project progress and address challenges.
Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience in civil engineering and water infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of contract conditions, CDM regulations, risk management, and cost control.
- Experience leading site teams and subcontractors in a regulated environment.
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- CSCS Card & Confined Space Training.
- IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS Certification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with NEC/JCT Contracts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project and project planning tools.
