We are recruiting for a Technical Project Manager. This exciting role incorporates a combination of Digital Project Management, Product Management and Account Management and would suit someone who has held an equivalent digital agency position, at a mid to senior level.
About this role
The Technical Project Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of transactional and business-critical digital solutions, while maintaining trusted partnerships with our clients.
You’ll be working within a talented multi-disciplinary team who are equally passionate and collaborative. As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll be the main point of contact for your clients and internal team. You’ll be in a pivotal role in leading the successful execution of digital projects, owning both the project governance and overall solution delivery - a curious problem-solver, able to see the big-picture whilst across the details.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage all aspects of digital projects, capturing and defining requirements, and delivering complex website builds and smaller enhancement projects.
2. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, efficiently leading the team whilst ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets while meeting quality standards and KPIs.
3. Create and maintain all project documentation, including detailed briefing documents, statements of work, functional specifications, and status reports.
4. Leverage extensive digital knowledge and understanding of technical concepts to make informed decisions, manage and mitigate risks, to ensure effective delivery of solutions.
5. Manage and report on project financials, including budget tracking, profitability analysis, and change request processing.
Skills and experience
1. Strong understanding of how digital solutions are built at a ‘mechanical’ level (more than functional, yet not necessarily technical), the software development lifecycle, and broader digital aspects such as SEO and hosting principles.
2. Experience with eCommerce platforms (BigCommerce) in headless implementations with CMS (Storyblok, Kontent.ai), and/or DXP (Kentico Xperience) platforms is preferred.
3. Experience delivering digital projects (ideally 3 years+) using a PM methodology (e.g., SCRUM, or PRINCE2). Ridgeway has developed and operates a defined project delivery process. You will need to be able to learn and adapt from other structured PM principles.
4. Essential experience (3 years+) within a digital agency, preferably design & build, or marketing with design & build (versus campaign or pure marketing focussed).
5. Experience using PM tools such as Jira and Scoro (or similar equivalents such as Synergist, Workbook, Silversoft, ClickUp).
6. A confident and collaborative individual who is passionate about, and dedicated to, delivering high quality outcome-focussed solutions to clients.
7. Highly process-driven, strong organisational skills, able to show outstanding attention to detail to ensure consistent quality for both client and internal communication.
8. Able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, from developers in your team to C-Suite client stakeholders.
9. Proud of providing exceptional service and quality, ensuring a happy client.
This role offers a salary ranging from circa £50-68k, subject to skills and experience. Please state your salary requirements upon application.
Location
Our head office is in Witney, Oxfordshire. We welcome UK-based applicants and operate hybrid working. We value face-to-face team collaboration, typically with 2-3 days+ per week in the office, after 4+ days per week during the first 6-12 months subject to role, experience, and location.
