Reception Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework. Provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and independence. Monitor and assess children's progress, using observations to inform planning and next steps. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive Early Years curriculum. Communicate with parents and guardians regularly, providing updates on children's progress and development. Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities as required. Reception Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in Early Years, particularly in a Reception class. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of young children. A team-oriented approach and flexibility to work collaboratively. Commitment to continuous professional development in Early Years education.
