Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer to develop a culture of high quality, compassionate care to underpin the organisations vision and strategy, contributing to organisational goals and direction. Provides strong and effective leadership by role-modelling the behaviours expected by nurses and allied health professionals (AHP), to empower staff to consistently deliver compassionate and high-quality care. Provide professional nursing leadership and advice to inform corporate decisions and ensure that the views of nurses and AHPs contribute to decisions about clinical services. Provide professional leadership and accountability for Infection Prevention and Control for the Trust as the Director of Infection Prevention & Control (DIPC). Ensure the maintenance of professional standards of care in line with the Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) Code of Professional Practice and the Health and Care Professional Council.
