At Wates, we are offering an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our Living Space Planned team in the Midlands. This role focuses on projects within the social housing sector, so experience in a similar field is preferred.
You will manage a team of Project Managers and Site Managers, providing first-class service to our clients and ensuring a sustainable, growing operational service within the Planned Maintenance Division.
The role involves acting as the interface between clients during monthly review meetings and delivering all contracts to high standards, maintaining KPIs and Health & Safety standards to meet client expectations and Wates' high standards.
Key Accountabilities include:
* Managing regional delivery and leading an effective, motivated team
* Driving operational and commercial excellence, ensuring contract obligations are met and profitability is maximized
* Setting up projects with proper governance, production control, and monitoring productivity
* Developing relationships with key clients and attending progress meetings to provide feedback and KPI data
* Procurement and strategic involvement in tenders
* Collaborating with supply chain partners to ensure compliance before project start
* Monitoring financial forecasts and cost planning
* Promoting compliance and operational excellence throughout the division
To succeed, you should already be in an operational leadership role with experience managing maintenance teams and projects, accountable from bidding through to handover within time and budget constraints.
