Job Description – Marketing Automation Manager
The Marketing Automation Manager is a key member of the Global Marketing Operations Team. As the marketing automation lead, you will further develop the creation, execution, and optimization of automated marketing programs to help generate marketing qualified leads and sales pipeline.
As an Adobe Marketo Certified Expert, you will be responsible for advancing our marketing automation platform capabilities. By collaborating and supporting the Demand Generation, Partner Marketing, Content & Communications, and Product Marketing teams, you will further plan and build programs. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on joint website/Marketo projects, requirements, and technical integrations.
This role reports to the Director of Marketing Operations. As the Manager, you will also have supervisory responsibility for a Marketing Automation Assistant, who will perform specific tasks and duties under your guidance and instruction.
Primary Responsibilities
This role is equal parts strategy and execution with responsibilities falling into three major areas: Strategy, Operational Excellence, and Reporting.
* Develops, designs, executes, and improves the Marketo roadmap.
* Owns the Marketo end-to-end workflow process.
* Supervises training programs and builds and executes landing pages, emails, and related marketing programs.
* Monitors, recommends, and advises stakeholders about adjustments required to the Lead Scoring Model.
* Develops Marketo metrics and monitors outcomes.
* Stays aware of innovations driving the marketing automation industry.
Operational Excellence
* Manages and owns the instance of Marketo as the technology administrator, leveraging its functionality to improve campaign execution and results.
* Maintains the health and wellbeing of the instance, including data management.
* Oversees access and management governance.
* Oversees the creation, documentation, and distribution of formal marketing automation processes.
* Keeps abreast of new technologies and identifies gaps for improvements in our marketing automation strategy.
* Works with external vendors and agencies to execute our marketing automation strategy.
* Responsible for planning, implementing, and sharing best practices in marketing automation.
Reporting
* Monitors, evaluates, and analyzes KPIs with performance dashboards and reports.
* Constructs and executes test and learn programs to assess digital campaign effectiveness.
* Works cross-functionally to ensure marketing automation, governance, and best practices are leveraged.
* Collaborates with Marketing to deliver marketing automation solutions and database management expertise.
Required Skills and Experience:
* 5+ years of relevant work experience within Marketing Automation.
* Familiarity with MarTech tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Ringlead, LeanData, 6Sense, Drift, and similar platforms (strongly preferred).
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Adobe Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) strongly preferred.
