Operations Manager
starting salary £52,406, plus an on-target bonus of 15% and benefits that include company car, 25 days annual leave.

This role will be a supporting role begin with working over several sites, Travelling will be a part of this role. the plan will be for you to cover and when a unit becomes available you will slot into the vacant position.
Units to cover are Hatfield, Chelmsford, London Central, London East, London South East, Medway & Tonbridge.
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to head up a team of 120 colleaguues. It’s a pretty big role: with an average of 70 delivery and collection routes running daily, you’ll be critical to securing the success of one of our larger operations.

About the roleNormal working hours are 07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Fridayt but some flexibility is required.As our Operations Manager, the most senior manager role within the depot, you’ll oversee the collection and delivery of 4 million parcels a year, but that’s not all. It'll be up to you to ensure everything runs smoothly – leading on and coordinating manpower and resource you’ll review all key measurement outputs and identify trends in unit performance, ensuring your teams are focused on process and customer improvement at all times. By providing your frontlline managers with the coaching and mentoring they need to inspire their teams, you’ll not only maximise operational performance; you’ll ensure we never stop delivering to the highest levels of customer service.
About youA natural leader and experienced manager, you’ll enjoy nothing more than guiding teams through significant periods of change. You’ll understand how important it is to build strong relationships with your team, unions and key stakeholders – and, you’ll show a genuine passion for what you do. Positive, proactive and personable, you won’t just ensure strong operational performance; you’ll never let us compromise on service. Ideally with a background in express parcels and some experience working in a unionised environment, you’ll already have your CPC qualification or be working towards one.
