Job Advert: Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). If you are someone who enjoys making a positive difference in children's lives and has a caring attitude, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support children with SEN on a 1:1 or group basis.
2. Assist with the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
3. Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
4. Provide emotional and behavioural support as required.
5. Help with classroom activities, ensuring the children's well-being and development.
6. Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
What We’re Looking For:
1. A genuine passion for working with children and a caring attitude.
2. Patience and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
3. Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., school, childcare, volunteering).
4. Minimum of a Grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
5. A Child-Only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
6. Experience in a role with transferrable skills will also be considered.
7. Knowledge of Special Educational Needs.
8. Experience in supporting children with behavioural or emotional challenges.
9. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
