Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Deburring Operative in the Inspection department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. This Deburring Operative position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role you will be responsible for hand finishing components to very high standards, involving polishing to improve surface finishes and corrosion. Role Responsibilities will include: Undertaking of blending damaged components, polishing to improve finishes, and corrosion removal of Aircraft components with pneumatic tooling. Local NDT of components to aid dressing of ladder cracks. Experience in the use of pneumatic tooling desirable. Experience with different abrasive grades of flap wheels but again not essential. Able to work in team environment, and able to work on own initiative to complete work tasks provided. An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures. You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book. You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience. All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures. Skills and Experience required: Previous knowledge of working with metals Knowledge of using small hand tools Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity Reading engineering drawings is helpful but not essential It would be beneficial for the individual to have a good knowledge of hand finishing techniques and knowledge of engineering drawings, although not essential.Why Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services?
