Elite Sports Liaison Officer Manchester Institute of Health and Performance | Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week - Includes weekend an evening work Competitive Salary As a Sports Liaison Officer at our Manchester Institute of Health and Performance, you will work in collaboration with the General Manager to lead and further develop the elite sport liaison service. The role will be the point of contact and responsible for operating a dedicated platinum patients and elite athlete's provision (Football, Cycling, Athletics, Rugby, Cricket, Boxing, Etc). You will be providing a full range of concierge and patient admin duties, working to support MIHP to deliver the highest quality of service to elite athletes and platinum patients. Due to the nature of this role this will involve availability for point of contact, out of hours including evenings and weekend. Full time hours over a 7-day period. In this exciting role as Sports Liaison Officer, you will demonstrate high levels of attention to detail, as you stay up to date, maintaining knowledge of the facility services and functions. Along with strong computer system skills, as you work with bespoke databases, spreadsheets, and reports. With excellent communication and stakeholder skills, as you will be the point of contact, responsible for operating a dedicated platinum patients and elite athlete's provision, this includes meeting and greeting VIP patients, visitors, consultants, and staff, where you will ensure all enquiries and matters are dealt with efficiently, professionally and in a timely manner. You will be confident dealing with telephone and email queries with high profile individuals. As a self-assured individual you will utilise your knowledge to develop and maintain external networks, to raise awareness of services, build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, primarily within the facility or function. As well as regulation communication with consultants, regulatory bodies, and liaison with other external providers, suppliers and client organisations offered, and technical specialists. As a Sports Liaison officer, you will: Devise and provide a set of guidelines and protocols to key staff and stakeholders for the VIP Patient Service. Attend to VIP patients' requirements, this includes arranging appointments, refreshments, taxis and/or drivers, ensuring client areas are clean, to their requirements and fit for purpose. Answer any enquiries or queries the VIP Client may have, discuss, and explain all treatment options for each patient by liaising with the appropriate professionals and specialists. Maintain high profile patient records, registering patient information and processing payments, ensuring strict confidentiality is applied to all clients, ensuring need to know basis is applied at all times. Oversee sports medicals. Make bookings for consultant appointments, clinical investigations, performance facilities, education, and seminar events. Liaise with consultants, secretaries, and third-party providers, regarding room rental, facility rental and clinic requirements. Administration support for MDTs, super-clinics, and clinical councils, including minute taking. Supporting the Business Office and Admin team leader to capture revenue, ensuring accurate payments are taken where necessary. Receive and record client payments, ensuring the correct information is recorded on the PIMS system. Reconciling and banking cash on a daily basis. Sending invoices and adjustments to patient accounts, reviewing late charges and unbilled accounts. Verifying appropriate medical insurance cover and documenting centralised accounts.
