The role:
At Ramsay Health Care UK, we know our people are our most important asset. Join our busy team of medical secretaries and you can develop a rewarding career helping to provide patients with the best care.
Your main task will be supporting our consultants with fast and precise typing and record creation which is so important to the smooth running of patient management. You will be expected to multi-task across a range of secretarial duties; offer good judgement in escalating issues, prioritising jobs, and highly accurate audio typing, as these tasks all play an important part of your role. You’ll be valued for your skills and expertise and have the chance to build on them through our Ramsay Academy, too.
Where you’ll be based:
Winfield Hospital is one of Gloucestershire's leading private hospitals, located on the outskirts of the City of Gloucester. What you will bring with you:
1. Excellent IT skills and ability to type at speed whilst maintaining accuracy
2. Experience of multi-tasking and working to strict deadlines
3. Excellent verbal and written communication
4. High attention to detail
5. Background knowledge or experience with medical terminology – highly desirable
What is a Bank Contract:
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.
Attractive enhancement rates for permanent and bank work: 30%–100% for evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Free uniform and DBS check.
Free onsite parking and a subsidised staff restaurant.
Access to our employee discount programme.
Wellbeing Centre and access to 24/7 employee assistance line.
