The Role
The purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Supportive Care & the Bereavement, Listening & Talking Therapies Manager to develop and expand the strategic role of Children’s Support Services within the organisation.
You will therefore need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas:
* Maintain a clinical caseload of clients with complex needs delivering individual and group work.
* Provide a therapy layered approach to the service which includes advice and support to schools and education settings, clients (including parents), patients, children, and families with complex needs across Rennie Grove and Peace’s geographical area.
* Lead role to set up CYP peer bereavement support and parent support groups where appropriate with a trained team of volunteers, and be flexible in approach to offering a range of weekend and after-school workshops.
* Develop a clear pathway of support for short-term individual support with clear criteria for ongoing support.
* Liaise as appropriate with other professionals involved with the care of the child/young person.
* Provide pre and post bereavement support for children and siblings referred to the Supportive Care service.
* Provide support and training in schools when required.
