We are looking for a Water Manager to join our Facilities team in Derby.
Working as a Water Manager, you will be the Responsible Person/Authorised Person for the maintenance and testing of water systems.
What you'll do:
* Manage Water Systems team to ensure that the testing of hot water calorifiers, emergency showers, DHW circulation pumps, and external taps on the water systems within the Trust premises are monitored in accordance with HTM04-01/HTM 2040, and all results are recorded on the Zetasafe monitoring system.
* Manage Water Systems team to ensure all end of line tap temperatures (Sentinels) within the Trust premises are monitored in accordance with HTM04-01/HTM 2040, and all results are recorded on the Zetasafe monitoring system, advising the Manager of areas requiring attention.
* Manage Water Systems team to ensure all Thermostatic Mixing Valves/Thermostatic Mixing Taps within the Trust premises are serviced in accordance with HTM04-01/HTM 2040, and all results are recorded on the Zetasafe monitoring system, advising the Manager of failures requiring further action.
* Manage Water Systems team to ensure Chlorination (where applicable), de-scaling, and inspection of all shower heads and hoses are carried out in accordance with HTM04-01/HTM 2040, and all results are recorded on the Zetasafe monitoring system, advising the Manager of areas requiring attention.
* Manage Estates Staff and Sub-Contractors working on Planned Maintenance Work (PTW) on any of the sites' water systems.
* Manage Estates Staff working on specific PPM for Pseudomonas and Legionella sampling, directing them on their daily/weekly works.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Knowledge of Healthcare water systems and proven experience in the discipline to City & Guilds / NVQ3 level.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and COSHH.
* Able to undertake a range of testing, maintenance, and monitoring of water systems.
* Manage the Water Systems team that report directly to the Water Manager.
* Have the capabilities to act as lead AP for water, for site.
* Analyse and record results, able to undertake the installation and maintenance of water systems and associated plant.
* Be able to have direct correspondence with the client and trust representatives to close out issues.
* Able to carry out all the above in accordance with the ‘Health and Safety Commission Approved Code of Practice and Guidance for Legionella Control.’ (L8) and HTM 04-01.
