CNC Milling Machine Operator & Setter
Salary = £18.65 - £22.38 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator & Setter on a permanent basis to join our developing production teams. The CNC Operator & Setter is a skilled operative responsible for the machining of detailed high tolerance components, using CNC 3 & 5 Axis machining centers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operating and setting of Mazak 5 and 3 Axis CNC machines.
2. Primarily conversant with Mazak machine controls with some ability in Mazatrol online programming (predominantly offline fed).
3. Interpret engineering drawings, documents, manuals, and technical instructions with a clear understanding.
4. Producing a wide range of precision components.
Key Requirements:
1. Time served Mechanical engineer with extensive machine shop experience.
2. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship (preferably in composite craft/mechanical technician) or experience to equivalent depth.
3. Working knowledge of CNC Machine controls such as Mazak Matrix2, Mazak Smooth X, Heidenhaim, and Siemens could potentially be advantageous moving forward.
4. A skilled CNC Machinist possessing experience backed by fundamental manual machining disciplines.
5. Candidates with some ability to utilize Autodesk/Delcam Power Mill programming software would be at an advantage.
6. A team player able to communicate at all levels.
7. Must have good work ethic.
8. Flexibility - shift working and overtime working may be required.
9. Ability to achieve UK security clearance is essential due to ongoing Military/Defence projects.
