Job summary
Siam Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse practitioner/advanced nurse practitioner to join our friendly, hardworking team on a full-time or part-time basis, hours negotiable.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the role include:
1. Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced, autonomous clinical skills and a broad, in-depth, theoretical knowledge-base.
2. Completing both face to face and telephone consultations.
3. Conducting home visits.
4. Triage.
5. Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team.
6. Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues.
7. Developing innovative concepts, models, methods and practices, to help deliver improved primary care to our practice population.
8. Advancing patient health and well-being through the use of health promotion, health education, screening and therapeutic communication skills.
9. As an independent prescriber: to prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication, as defined by current legislative framework.
10. Leading and undertaking research and audits.
11. Providing leadership, education and training to different healthcare professionals, staff and students.
12. As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.
About us
Siam Surgery is a semi-rural GMS practice which provides a high level of care to just over 12,000 patients in Sudbury, Suffolk and its surrounding villages.

Qualifications
Essential
27. MSc/Degree in Advanced Nursing or RCN accreditation of Masters level study.
28. Independent prescribing qualification.
29. NMC registered.
30. Advanced clinical assessment and examination skills.
31. Management of patients with long-term health conditions.
Experience
Essential
32. Management of patients with complex physical/psychological/social needs.
33. Management of palliative and end of life patients.
34. Experience as a nurse practitioner in general practice.
35. Nurse-led management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries.
36. Reliable.

41. Experience of SystmOne and ARDENS is desirable but not essential.
