Job Overview: As a Teaching Assistant through TeachMatch, you will provide essential support to teachers and staff in the classroom, ensuring students have the tools and resources they need to succeed. You will assist with a wide range of tasks including delivering educational materials, supporting students with their work, and ensuring the classroom runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Support the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery. Assist with the management of student behaviour and promote a positive learning environment. Provide individual or small group support to students who require additional help. Help with the creation of learning resources and materials for lessons. Aid in classroom setup and organisation before and after lessons. Encourage student engagement and participation in class activities. Supervise students during breaks, lunchtime, and other non-classroom activities. Assist in tracking and reporting student progress to the classroom teacher. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. Adhere to school policies and guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent). Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred, but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under the direction of a teacher. A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
