Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship Programme

We have unique new opportunities for candidates with an appetite to work in the fast-paced environment of Food Manufacturing. Throughout our Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship programme, you will gain the tools to:
1. Respond to plant and equipment faults
2. Develop fault diagnostic skills
3. Carry out planned maintenance
4. Enhance teamwork and communication skills
5. Become a key driver in electrical and mechanical manufacturing efficiencies
As part of the apprenticeship, Dale Farm will release the apprentices to attend South West Regional College where they will get the opportunity to work towards a NVQ Level 3 Food and Drink Maintenance Engineer qualification. The successful applicants will also receive support and guidance from an experienced team of engineers, providing the opportunity to put the theory into practical experience on the factory floor.
We are looking for applicants within the maintenance engineering field who possess the following:
1. Energy, drive, and desire to develop while contributing to a winning team
2. Ambition to become a fully qualified multi-skilled engineer
The 3-year training programme will provide you with:
1. Industry expert training
2. Mentor support on site
3. Opportunities for career advancement post qualification
Upon completion of the NVQ L3 Food and Drink Maintenance Engineer Apprentice Programme, there will be an opportunity to complete a Higher-Level Apprenticeship Programme, equivalent to a Foundation Degree.
We are looking for candidates who are:
1. Ambitious and proactive with a positive approach to work
2. Reliable and willing to work flexible work patterns
3. Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements:
1. Total of 16 points at GCSE level inclusive of A-C in English, Maths & ICT (or equivalent Essential Skills Level 2 in Literacy & Numeracy) is desirable
2. Good work ethic, self-motivated, good attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to travel when required
3. A passion for the food industry & a desire to learn
4. Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering
5. Good electrical or mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school activities or hobby interests
6. Eligible to work in the UK
