Workday Technical Architect / Hybrid Bedfordshire / 6 months + / Start ASAP
Job description:
To work along with a Workday Platform team and define Solutions to accomplish the Platform mission, vision and Road map. Collaboratively work with functional consultants, Solution/Enterprise architects to drive the long-term architectural direction. Work with the integration consultants to defining new integration to/from any third party systems.
Technically own the immediate business priorities, System enhancements, Integrations and transformations.
* Provides analysis of security protection technologies as necessary
* Own and manage System upgrades and integrations
* Participate in Release Planning activities, system and solutions demos, and inspect & adapt events.
Skills:
* Experience in Workday modules such Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, and Learning
* Experience developing Workday reporting and analytics.
* Experience in designing integrations to/from workday to different third party systems
* (Nice to have) have architecture and technology knowledge
* (Must) have TA experience in the HR domain and a strong Workday background.
* (Must) have a proven track record for architecting Workday solutions
* (Must) be able to quickly and independently gain control and run solution design within the Platform Organisation
* (Must) have demonstrated leadership skills in previous engagement(s)
* (Must) understand Architecture Review Board and Technical Design Assurance process and has delivered Solution Blueprints and design artefacts
Key responsibilities:
* Manages activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation
* Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as designing to realise the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution
* Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures
* Champions a structured approach to business application solutions
* Directly assists in the development of a solutions architecture program including departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for IT systems architecture
* Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions
* Influences changes to standards when necessary
* Supports the architectural aspects of all application projects in IT portfolio
* Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership
* Ability to work under indirect supervision on take on responsibilities swiftly
* Broad understanding of information technology topics
* Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
* Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
* Flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities
