Job Summary
You will be a technical leader who thrives on managing projects as well as providing guidance and mentoring to other developers. You will lead our development teams enhancing our ability to design, build, and implement applications.
Key Accountabilities
1. Technical leadership: Provide technical direction, ensure coding standards are met, and lead code reviews.
2. Project management: Plan, coordinate, and communicate about projects, including timelines, budgets, and goals.
3. Team management: Supervise and mentor other developers, and help identify and hire new team members.
4. Business collaboration: Work with internal customers and stakeholders including sales, marketing, and executives to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements.
5. Best practices: Develop and review best practices, and educate junior developers.
6. Technical documentation: Plan and document technical specifications for new features and systems.
7. Managing the Dev Team.
8. Reviewing current systems.
9. Enhancing current systems.
10. Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.
11. Working closely with the dev team and other members of staff to provide new and enhanced functionality.
12. Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes.
13. Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live.
14. Preparation of training manuals for users where required.
15. Maintaining the systems once they are up and running.
About you:
Essential
1. Ability to be dynamic/adaptive due to fast-paced business.
2. Dev Team Management experience.
3. Strong ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
4. Hardware and software deployment experience.
5. Good attention to detail.
6. Organised and able to prioritise tasks.
7. Ability to demonstrate a practical approach when faced with problems or challenges.
8. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy.
9. Expertise in current computer hardware and software.
10. Strong ability to use one or more development languages (SQL, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, etc.).
11. API Integrations.
12. Ability to lead a team.
13. Eye for detail and identifying problems.
14. An understanding of business with both analytical and commercial acumen.
Desirable
1. Experience using/developing ServiceNow.
2. Experience in GCP services.
