The Role: As a key part of the senior management your role will include but not limited to: This role requires a high calibre applicant, with previous experience in the flooring / estimating sector and to have extensive knowledge of all types of flooring including timber, laminate, vinyl, linoleum, carpet, carpet tiles and ceramics etc. You will of course have a Strong Track record of delivering Sales, Winning Tenders and closing deals within the vibrant Commercial Flooring and wider construction and Fit Out Sectors. Excellent Presentation skills, a true ambassador for your brand who can passionately pursue opportunities with both our clients existing clients and Prospects that you will identify and approach in tandem with our clients existing Sales and Senior Managers, everyone sells and represents the company, it will be your job to oversee, channel and Direct the Sales and Business Development operations to maximise its huge potential. This role would suit somebody with the desire to achieve results by hard work and who wish to participate in the future of this most progressive set up. Be responsible for account management, business development, be results driven and have proven year on year success and have the ability, drive and self-motivation to be a success in this varied role. Liaison with the Senior Estimators, QS and Project Managers internally as well as lots of client facing time both pre and post winning of Contracts and Projects to ensure a smooth and professional customer experience throughout is essential. Possess the skills when required to digitise and analyse flooring plans and be experienced within the tendering process. You will be required to digitise to Callidus from plans and electronic drawings, carry out site measures, quantify products, and fully understand product and labour requirements to produce competitive quotes, though you will more often be overseeing, its important that you still work “at the coalface” as the needs of the business dictate. You will oversee the Sales and Estimating teams liaison with our suppliers and valued clients to facilitate the smooth processing of all tenders and projects and, where necessary introduce both new contacts and procedures as you see fit to increase efficiency and margins. Manage, oversee and prioritise quotations as per company requirements, ensure administrative and CRM systems are both in place and being utillised by the team to log /record quotations and chase main contractors / clients effectively securing client feedback to build historical data and when necessary, once established reasons for not winning jobs are acquired, taking steps to mitigate in the future and where possible to create opportunities to re-quote and reduce prices where possible. Build upon relationships with main contractors / clients and win / increase market share. Pro-actively increase the Companies profile and exposure and drive the team forward with incentives and evangelic motivation. Report confidently to fellow Directors weekly on results achieved. The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences: Wealth of knowledge and personal contacts within the flooring industry. A good communicator. Excellent Presentation and Communication Skills. Team player. Office hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Rewards: The salary package will be dependent on level of exposure to the industry, ranging from £55k to £80k OTE with additional company benefits.
