Join our team We have an exciting new opportunity for a Safety Improvement Delivery Manager to join the team. The Safety Improvement Delivery Manager plays a vital role in ensuring Anglian Water's approach to Health, Safety, and Wellbeing. The role will be responsible for leading and delivering key strategic initiatives on Safety and Wellbeing, working with a diverse range of both Operational and office-based teams. The successful candidate will also be able to work across a number of safety networks, representing the organisation and building their profile as a leading safety professional in the industry. Key responsibilities include developing safety strategy, driving improvements in Health & Safety processes, systems, and policies across Anglian Water and its Alliances, while providing expert advice to Directors and Senior Managers to enhance the safety culture. As part of the Safety and Wellbeing Senior Leadership Team, the role also deputises for the Head of Safety at strategic forums and enterprise-level meetings, ensuring Health, Safety, and Wellbeing considerations are integral to decision-making. Opportunity for shared parental pay. What you’ll be doing: Producing an accident reduction strategy and embedding it’s across the business including its Alliance partners. Providing regular progress updates at Board level and through other senior level company meetings. Using technical knowledge on safety legal requirements, alongside accident and incident trend data, and examples of best practice from outside of the organisation, providing advice to Leaders and teams in high risk parts of the business, on the actions they need to take to reduce the likelihood of accidents. Leading and directing BU Leadership teams and Directors to develop and agree health and safety targets and outcome measures. Being an active member of the Safety Senior Leadership Team, using your knowledge and experience to support colleagues and grow the safety capabilities of the senior team. Planning, co-ordinating and delivering safety improvement projects within budget and delivery deadlines,. What does it take to be successful? NEBOSH diploma or equivalent practical experience in previous roles desirable Leadership experience, demonstrating ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving safety objectives. Demonstrable evidence of having worked in a complex environment Demonstrable evidence of having delivered strategic initiatives Significant experience in a senior health and safety role desirable.
