An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Ceredigion and Llandovery Agency, based primarily in the Newcastle Emlyn office.
About the role
1. Gain the relevant product "licences" and maintain knowledge through continued professional development.
2. Deliver unequalled levels of customer service.
3. Review and advise upon customer general insurance requirements.
4. Process customer instructions for policy amendment to meet the required completion standards.
5. Carry out proactive sales activity to create new business opportunities for the Agency.
6. Collect insurance premiums.
7. Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers.
8. Contribute to the positive team culture.
9. Work within the Compliance Framework required by the Company / Financial Conduct Authority.
10. Use of all Microsoft Office Applications as well as Insurance Policy and Claims Administration Systems. Full training and support will be provided.
11. Maintain record keeping as per requirements for your role.
12. Produce correspondence to required time frames and quality standards.
About you:
1. 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above.
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
3. Existing sales and service experience in an office environment is desirable.
4. Ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable but not essential.
5. Ability to travel within the county.

Good Repute Checks
Agents are required to ensure that they and their staff are of Good Repute and are required to carry out two independent checks on all staff:
1. Basic criminality check - Basic checks show any 'unspent' criminal records (as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974). Once a conviction or caution is 'spent', it no longer shows on a basic check.
2. Bankruptcy check - to ensure that staff are not an un-discharged bankrupt.
