Lead Communications & Engagement Advisor
Salary: £44,520 – £56,650 per annum depending on experience (salary will increase by 4.5% from 1st April).

Location: Bradford/Hybrid Working – a mix of working from home and in the office at Bradford
Work type: Permanent role, working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Communications & Engagement Advisor to play a key role in communicating and engaging with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to build trusting relationships that keep the company relevant and achieve the company ambition.
What we do:
We provide essential water and wastewater services to over 5.4 million people living in the Yorkshire region, ensuring clean and safe drinking water and effective wastewater management. We also protect the environment and plan for sustainable water management.
Where you fit in:
In this role, you will lead and manage the communications and engagement team supporting our capital programme. You will develop and drive the communications and engagement strategy, maximizing brand touchpoints with customers to enhance understanding of value for money. You will represent the company externally through media interviews and stakeholder engagement meetings, proactively identifying and managing emerging reputational risks and opportunities.
What skills & qualifications are we looking for?
* Excellent experience of managing a team of multi-skilled communications professionals
* Significant experience as a media professional within an agency or in-house environment
* Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships
* Ability to influence decisions and build relationships at all levels
* Proven track record of delivering effective media campaigns with significant results
* Experience handling and liaising with journalists and the media
* Skills in online channel and content publishing
* Knowledge of media monitoring tools
* Experience using social listening tools
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage workloads
* Strong IT skills, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
* Public Relations or similar qualification is advantageous
