RESPONSIBLE FOR: This is a new role, so the successful candidate can help shape the role. Defining how we will measure the impact of our work as a charity, and for individual projects, creating the processes/procedures to ensure this is captured (alongside the senior team), undertaking research, conducting analysis, and supporting the reporting of impact for the charity. HOURS: 7.5 hours per week. Hours can be flexible around the candidate and any other commitments.,
* Identifying and establishing relevant metrics and processes to highlight key impact-related internal and external reporting
* With the senior team building out a set of key performance indicators that can be measured on an ongoing basis to determine the trajectory of the charity
* Gathering, processing, and analysing key data to derive useful insights to all stakeholders, which can be used to make 'data-led' decisions
* Monitoring research in the environment sector, and highlighting any trends that Greener and Cleaner need to be considering
* Putting together reports to succinctly showcase the impact that Greener and Cleaner has had with a focus on metrics
* Providing recommendations and support to the senior team on how any new projects can improve the impact of the charity's work
* Working with the Communications and Marketing Officer to create copy and assets to be used across platforms to highlight the impact that Greener and Cleaner has had on the community
* Ensuring data is understood and used effectively throughout the organisation
* Other duties as required that are reasonably requested
Greener and Cleaner is looking for an Impact and Analysis Officer to support the range of activities involved in measuring and reporting the impact of the charity and its activities. They will ideally have understanding of areas such as research techniques, customer insight, data analysis, and social value measurement.
They will have excellent analytical skills, understand the mission of the charity, and be able to effectively identify the measures that will be most effective at understanding the impact of the work. This role is not just designing methodologies but also undertaking some research, gathering data, and speaking to service users to assess impact, along with delivery colleagues. As part of a larger Greener and Cleaner project, and key to growing the charity, the Impact and Analysis Officer will be self-driven, organised, and confident as well as have a personal interest in the mission of Greener and Cleaner. Please note: The successful candidate will be subject to a reference and enhanced DBS check, in line with Greener and Cleaner's safer recruitment procedures. PERSONAL SPEC: The successful candidate will have prior experience/understanding of conducting quantitative and qualitative research, and effective collection, manipulation, and analysis of data. You will bring a high degree of personal initiative and a solutions-focused mindset. You will have the ability to manage time effectively as well as the ability to communicate effectively to different stakeholders at different levels of the organisation. This is a new role, and it will really suit someone who is a confident self-starter with an eye for detail. We are a small charity, and your ability to help us analyse our reach and impact will make an enormous difference in helping us grow over the coming years. You will be organised, reliable, and innovative, working with the wider staff team to gather evidence as well as create engaging narratives that may be in the form of reports, infographics, visualisations, and more. You will be able to quickly build relationships with others, be highly numerate and literate, and be adept in using common computer packages (such as Microsoft Word and Excel). You will be passionate about Greener and Cleaner's mission. Knowledge of community participation and environmental impact of community groups is a bonus.
