Dudley Improvement Practice is the Dudley Group's values-based improvement system. Focusing on supporting staff to improve patient care and experience, the DIP team take a person-centred approach to developing improvement capability across Acute and Community services.
As a Senior Improvement Coach in the Improvement Practice, you will play a key role in the delivery of the trust’s improvement programme (Dudley Improvement Practice). You will have responsibility for supporting staff to apply improvement skills post-training. You will also have responsibility for organising events which share and celebrate the improvement success of colleagues. You will provide improvement approaches, training and coaching to the teams across the trust who will be using the practice to support delivery of improvements to their services, patient care and experience.
You will be working with clinicians, senior divisional nursing and operational managers across the trust, members of staff at every level and patients to develop improvement capability within departments to transform the services, to deliver the improvements and increase value for patients.
The post holder will work with Specialist Practice Coaches in the Dudley Improvement Practice to facilitate multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) through their journey of improvement with the aim of helping wards and departments become self-sufficient in continuous improvement.
The Post Holder Will
* provide post-training and post-improvement events support to staff, including senior managers and consultants from the trust as well as engaging staff from other healthcare provider organisations
* develop technical skills in continuous quality improvement
* work across the trust to provide expert support to staff involved in value stream work
* organise sharing events and showcases
* undertake data collection to measure improvement capability
* deliver teaching and knowledge transfer to support the roll out of improvement initiatives
* coach others in improvement methods
* employ project management techniques
