Coyle Personnel, one of the UK’s leading family-run staffing solutions providers, is currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical Bias) to join our Facilities Management sector based in Canary Wharf, London. Role Summary
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. This role demands a proactive mindset, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
1. Execute scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with company and statutory procedures.
2. Complete dynamic and documented risk assessments to ensure safe working practices are upheld.
3. Attend and resolve reactive breakdowns with efficiency, conducting thorough fault finding and necessary repairs.
4. Undertake small project installations in compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
5. Present a professional image at all times, wearing and maintaining the company uniform.
6. Accurately identify and order replacement parts via the company Buyer.
7. Support Contract Managers, Account Managers, and Site Supervisors as required.
8. Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for additional works.
9. Submit Estimate Sheets for any extra works on a regular basis.
10. Maintain tidy workspaces and dispose of waste in line with site guidelines.
11. Take part in the weekday shift rota (Monday to Friday, 07:00–19:00) and emergency on-call rota if required.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a similar multi-skilled building services role.
2. Recognised Electrical and/or Mechanical qualifications.
3. Strong technical knowledge of building services equipment and systems.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Proven ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
6. Experience with Testing & Inspection, PAT Testing.
7. IPAF, PASMA, L8 Water Hygiene and Working at Height training.
8. Completed apprenticeship.
9. Good working knowledge of health and safety practices within a facilities management environment.
